I Throw Like a Girl

A Christmas Poem

Posted by Carol on December 4, 2007

I didn’t write this poem, but my sister-in-law’s dear friend did.  I thought it was too good not to share.

Christmas is coming! So much to do.

Presents to buy. Sales our cue.

Clean house, decorate, bake.

Hurry now before it’s too late.

Exhausted. Worn out. Blue.

Overwhelmed. Defeated. So what can we do?

Stop. Take a breath. Look around.

Beauty, joy, love are all to be found.

Finding the peace so deeply desired

Takes seeking the one who did Christmas inspire.

Fall on your knees. Lift your face to the sky.

Give thanks to the Lord. His peace will draw nigh.
