Saturday Stirrings ~ Kid Friendly Dessert Recipe

By “kid friendly” I mean kids will love to both help you make this recipe AND eat it.  Depending on the age of your kids, they could make this by themselves, or with minimal supervision.  If they are still very little, there  are parts they could “help” with that are fun and will really make them feel like they made it themselves.

Chips Ahoy Pudding Dessert

1 package Chips Ahoy cookies (not the soft kind)

1 cup of milk

1 large package instant chocolate pudding mix

1 tub of cool whip

Make the instant chocolate pudding recipe according to package directions.

Next, after everyone has washed their hands, open the Chips Ahoy package and one by one dip each cookie completely in milk, resist the urge to eat them, and lay them on the bottom of a rectangular pan.  Keep going until all but a few cookies are left (save these cookies aside for later), making about 2 layers of milk-dampened cookies.

Pour the chocolate pudding over the cookie layer and spread evenly in the pan.  Top with the cool whip.  Break up the extra cookies and sprinkle over the top.
