About

I am a 40ish, ok, 43 year old mom of two teenagers –  an 19 year old boy who is a college sophomore, and a 16 year old girl who is a junior in high school. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 22 years.  We have two dogs – an 12 year old golden retriever named Sadie and a 1 year old shih-tzu named Kobi.  We enjoy skiing/snowboarding, water skiing, & traveling.

My two greatest passions in life are my family and serving God. I recently joined the staff of Transformed by Grace Ministries as the Director of Ministry Advancement.  You can read all about TBG Ministries by clicking here.

I named my blog “I Throw Like a Girl” because I never understood why saying someone throws like a girl is an insult.  I am a girl, why shouldn’t I throw like one? And who says throwing like a girl is a bad thing?? I did play softball for my high school team (2nd base) and throwing like a girl is a good thing, I say.  So in this blog, I will be throwing random thoughts, things I find humorous about my life, and from time to time, devotionals that God lays on my heart to you.

If you want to send me an email, you can reach me at Carol(at)IThrowLikeAGirl(dot)com
I’d love to hear from you!

  1. Hey girlie! Good talking to you last night. I was wondering what made L. choose Sarah? Wouldn’t it have been a hoot if she had chosen Emily? Maybe she’ll be as old as Sarah before she gives you those grandchildren you so desperately (LOL) want in 30 years!!

Just stumbled onto your blog and enjoyed reading some of your posts. You write well. Don’t feel bad–I’m a guy and still throw like a girl 🙂

    Hey Carol!!

Have been thinking about you and all I learned at She Speaks. Your website is the kind that is so inviting …

I got soooo sick after I left She Speaks. I felt like I was coming down with something while I was there and then it just escalated on Sunday into Sunday night.

Hope to talk with you soon.

    Stay in touch.

    In Him, Pam

P.S. I have known Andy Cherico (the Chairman of Transformed by Grace) since I’ve been a little girl. He and I got to talking the weekend I returned from She Speaks. What a small world we live in with a BIG God!!
